Update

Update

While I am sick and have to stay in bed, my dear brother was extraordinary hard-working and took care of the second rear end. Thereby, the first rear end had to be a little bit adjusted - it didn't fit perfectly 1000%. But now, it fits like a glove and somewhat looks like a car a again, doesn't it? Too bad we have to tear it almost completely apart again...

Tiefe Einschnitte...

Deep cuts...

... were made on yesterdays Saturday. 58s rear ends looked really bad. Only medication seemed to be a consequent amputation and implatation of new limbs. Not an easy task, but with the aid of fender, bumper and rear apron it was possible. But have a look yourself:

Na also, es geht doch!

So kanns weitergehen...!

A happy new year...

... and it is a good start. What follows is a little new-year-report on what was going on this holiday season.

The body showed up some more mean rust spots which we treated and removed gently. Unfortunately, we found that one or the other master of repair-kits tried his luck on the front right and rear left. This sucks, but it won’t put us at stop. We now have the sills properly arranged and last rusty sill-parts on the body removed. Then we “married” the body with the pan and welded the new sills in place. Well!! It’s working!! Just about one year after we took off the body, the whole project reminds us of something like a car (temporarily). That brings a lot of motivation.

In the meantime, Steven put some hands on the engine. The little 30hp motor looks pretty fine already. That’s how it can go on…!
