Slowly, things start to happen.
I removed the running boards and was shocked on first sight. The driverside-board was nothing but rust and dust! But then, I found all new heater channels welded into the car. It seems as if the job was done quite good, even though its only spot-welded and rust-prevention is done with undercoat-sealing.
However, the Passengerside is in the same fair condition. The insides of the doors are okay as well and with only little rust to treat.
In addition, I found out that the car received a new passenger door once. It really looks brand new and has some handwritten marks on the inside.
The "reparations" the previous owner mentioned, slowly turn out to be an almost-full-restauration focused on functionality instead of optics, accomplished some ages ago! Provides a good feeling to go on with it to me!
